Is there is any other alternative available to fetch characteristics expect FM "VB_BATCH_GET_DETAIL"

Hi

 

To fetch characteristices of batch we do use SAP Standard FM "VB_BATCH_GET_DETAIL" .

 

All reports where we use this Function Module , At initial Phase all reports execution time was less, But as time went by,data in sap

is increasing and all reports are taking lot of time.

 

Looking for alternative .

 

Still we can reduce the characteristices like Min, Max of every field by giving tolerance but still looking for good solution.

How to apply transaction log backup in Sybase

Hi,

 

Ten days before i took an dump backup by using commnad dump database <SID> to 'path to backup/backup.dmp'.Backup done succesfully.

I want to restore on another server with data till today.

Can i use last full  backup which i took 10 days before  and  today do only transaction log backup and restore it?Like we do in Oracle by applying archive logs.

Webi - way to show values in every cell (when char value is repeated)

Dear Experts,

 

Is there a way to show values in every cell when a value is repeated. I mean, by default, Webi merges the cells with same value and just displays it in the first line.

 

For instance in the example below - I would like to have 1100-240 and LISBOA for both lines (somewhat as BEx Analyzer has the option not to supress repeated values in query properties).

chart filter from 2 dates

Hi Experts,

I am using WebI 3.1 thin client.

I want my chart to be effected from 2 fiters

1 filter is start date

2 filter is end date

I want my data should be calculated between these 2 dates nad will come in chart.

And I want these 2 filters not as a prompt....I want them at report screen...from there I should be able to select the dates.

and in that case is it neccessary that data type of date column in DB must be date or it can be varchar.

please assist

Its urgent for me.

Maximum Number of Columns in WI Report

Hello,

 

I have created a Web Intelligence report with approximately 3 dozen unique objects, however, the result of my report will only display up to 28. I have attempted to increase the margin width and insert additional columns, but no luck.

 

My question is: Is there any way I can insert additional columns in my report? Is there a maximum number of columns for a WI report?

 

The resulting data from my report won't be printed anywhere but will be saved as a .txt file for uploading into another system.

Another SAP FIORI APP Error (A problem occurred while reading the data)

Hello everyone,

 

While going through the configuration of SAP Fiori, I faced some errors, and still am not done. I think I have solved the first errors, so maybe someone else gets some help from reading what I did. And I could use some input on how to progress...

 

Here's what I have done so far: I only wanted to test "Approve Purchase Orders" and "Approve Requisitions". So I installed the components, configured them and got the error message: "No service found for namespace /IWPGW/, name TASKPROCESSING, version 0001".

Question: Do you need the "taskprocessing" service ("Approve requests" - which I understand to be used for a custom workflow"), if you only want to use "Approve Requisitions" and "Approve Purchase Orders"?

 

 

I installed the component IW-PGW 100 for Approve Requests, activated the service and configured it according to 2.4.1 in the guide with the link to backend system.


After activating this service, I got I got the same error that some other SCN member already did mention: "Task Facade not implemented for provider. [/IWBEP/CX_MGW_TECH_EXCEPTION] (error)". (For details from transaction /n/IWFND/ERROR_LOG see the image at the bottom of this post.)

(Question: What is the right "software version" to chose for the copied system alias? IWPGW/BPM, /IWPGW/BWF, or maybe ERP, since I want to connect an ERP? How can you tell which one to chose?)

 

My taskprocessing service had, as mentioned above, the original system alias with DEFAULT software version and local not checked.

So, I configured the "local" system alias as a copy of the ERP backend alias as described, deleted the original taskprocessing service with the default connection into the backend and replaced it with a service that has the "copied" system alias.

 

Now, I get the error message: "

 

A problem occurred while reading the data : Check the URL parameters and the scenario definition. To check the scenario definition, go to customizing for SAP NetWeaver Gateway and choose SAP NetWeaver -> Gateway Service Enablement -> Content -> Task Gateway Service -> Scenario Definition."

The scenarios for Approve Purchase Order and Purchase Requisition should be configured according to the guide. What's NOT configured is the "Task definition for Scenario" for the "Approve Request" service, since I don't know which workflow to define. We don't want to use a custom workflow so far.

The System Alias is the original system alias with connection to ERP, "local" not checked" and Software "Default". After changing the system alias in the taskprocessing service, I can't chose them anymore but only am offered the copied "local" alias. When I change that to the copied system alias (local) I don't get anything: no error message, no data, just the gray loading screen.

So, I would really appreciate some help what to do next to get something besides than this grey screen...

Hi,

 

I have copied standard data element PARNR to ZPARNR.

 

Behavior of standard Element 'PARNR':

Element PARNR is used for partner number in tables KNVP and KNVK. Element has domain PARNR of type NUMC and lenght = 10.

 

When data is printed for standard table KNVP/KNVK ( using se16 or any other means), field is displayed with leading zeros. Ex. if field has value = 1000, it is being displayed as 0000001000.

 

There are no conversion routine provided to PARNR.

 

Behavior of custom data element 'ZPARNR':

Standard data element was copied to ZPARNR, and it has the same domain and same attributes as that of standard data element. However, when this data element was used in a custom table, it does not display leading zeros.

 

I have already tried using conversion routine "ALPHA" and even that didn't work. Can someone please provide me a solution.

 

(Please remember, I don't want to change data type to CHAR)

Displaying different header table under different conditions.

Hi,

 

I have designed a smartform which is basically an invoice. Now the header row of the main table will have diferent columns in different condition. I have designed two such rows and have given the condition in the condition tab.

 

But even then when I try to trigger the header 2 with an invoice which matches condition two the first header only triggers.

 

please help.

in my report i take spfli-carrid as an input and then i query the spfli based on the carrid and the display all the entries.

 

In the above report how can i make a column into a editable drop down on the output screen.

HI Expert,

 

I have a query regarding batch. two plants are batch managed one batch has expiry date example 10/01/2013(ddmmyyyy). another batch has expiry date 25/02/2013. both plant contains same material. same batch but expiry date is different.

 

Plant X has 5 quantity Plant Y has 4 quantity  now stock move 5 quantity with expired batch to receiving plant Y.

once i move stock (intra company transfer) with expired batch(10/012013) from supplying plant  same material to Receiving plant has batch with same material has expiry date 25/02/2013. after material transfer receiving plant batch has set new expiry date as 10/01/2013. how i will separate  the same stock with same batch with different expiry date after posting)

Comparing working hrs time type for lost time calculation

Dear Experts,

 

We have positive time management and we calculate daily lost time i.e. loss of pay based on working hrs which should be 9 hrs or more.

 

For eg. if an employee's working hrs for a day is 8 hrs and it should be compared with 9hrs and difference i.e. 9-8=1hr should be treated as lost time and will lead to LOP.

 

For that i wrote two PCRs one is for capturing daily working hrs, another for lost time. 1st one seems to be working fine but second one i.e. lost time is not reflecting correct hrs. Please find below the whole TE log with PCR and TES table.

Please check the above logs and help me ASAP to understand where its going wrong, ideally lost time, ZLST should be 1hrs

Workflow is not going into Activity Step

Hi Expert,

 

I'm trying to trigger a worflow like below.

 

I have given all the required screen shots. But I can see that activity step is not triggering but at the same time the mail step trigger successfully.

This workflow is being triggerred from our custom program like below ..

 

 

Am i missing something .. pls help me.

In SAP Finance/FICO, once period close is run and PL & BS statements are generated, which tables are housing these data - P & L and BS data/financial-instruments? Any resource/thread/URL with basic information on this would be appreciated.

Cost center not displayed in GL line item display

Hello Everyone,

 

I am facing an issue, the scenario is described as below :-

 

GL line item display in FAGLL03 doesn't display the cost center. I checked the documents in the line items in FB03, and found that in the Entry view, the cost center is reflecting whereas in the GL view the cost center is not reflecting.

 

I also, checked the cost center master data and found that the cost center is a 'Plan Revenue' (in Control tab). Furthermore, I checked the SAP note 964686, and as per that I checked the table COEP, value type field is '11' which indicates it should be a statistical posting.

 

My query is that if this is a statistical posting, then why is there only a cost center in the FI document. Why is there no WBS or internal order/profitability segment. As you may see in the below screenshot, the profitability segment is greyed out.

How to do tolerance time in time management.

 

Minimum tolerance time is 15 minute and maximum tolerance time would be 2 hour in a month, after that loss of pay will happen.

How to do in the system in time management Please suggest me.

Help in Calculating a Value using fields from two different rows

I have a report which calculates a number based on value from the next record. I get at this value using the Next () function, however I then want to use this new value to subtract the next record value further.

I am thinking I have to store this value in a variable and then get the report to show the value in my formula field.
